Sizing
How do I find my size?
Every brand sizes a little differently, so check the measurements on each product page. Corset belts, for example, list the waist size in cm for each size. Our Fitting Room has the size guides in one place. Not sure? Send us your measurements by email or on Instagram and we'll help you choose.
How do I measure for a made-to-measure chainmaille piece?
Use a soft measuring tape. For headpieces, measure around your head where the piece will sit; for neckpieces, measure around your neck. Enter the number in cm in the box on the product page before you add it to your cart.
Pre-orders and made-to-order
How do pre-orders work?
Pre-order items are ordered directly from the designer after you order. You pay at checkout, as with any order. When the piece arrives we inspect it, pack it carefully and ship it, and you get an email with tracking. The expected time is on each product page, usually 1–2 weeks.
How long does handmade chainmaille take?
Every chainmaille piece is made by hand in Norway. Earrings and hair clips ship within 2–3 business days. Larger pieces, such as The Widow's Veil, can take up to 7 days. Made-to-measure pieces like The Prologue are made to your measurements after you order and take a little longer. If you need a piece by a certain date, email us before you order.
Shipping
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Norway: 79 kr, free on orders of 1,599 kr or more, usually 2–5 business days after shipping. Denmark, Finland and Sweden: 149 kr. Selected EU countries: 199 kr. We ship within 1–3 business days unless the product page says otherwise. See Shipping & Returns for details.
Payment
How can I pay?
You can pay with a debit or credit card, Vipps MobilePay, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The options available to you are shown at checkout. You can also use a Kult Archive gift card.
Returns
Can I return my order?
Yes. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal (angrerett) from the day you receive your order. Pieces made to your measurements are an exception. See Shipping & Returns for how it works.
Caring for chainmaille
How do I look after my chainmaille?
- Our chainmaille is stainless steel, so it doesn't rust easily. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
- If it gets dirty, rinse it quickly in lukewarm water with a little mild soap and dry it thoroughly. Don't soak pieces with pearls.
- Keep it away from perfume, hairspray, chlorine and salt water.
- Store each piece on its own, flat or hanging, so the chains don't tangle.
- Put it on and take it off slowly so it doesn't catch on hair, lace or knits.
Gift cards
How do gift cards work?
Gift cards are digital and sent by email with a unique code. They can be used on all products at kultarchive.no.
